Fun City!!!

We knew we can't really do a vacation this summer, so this was such a great idea! A couple of friends were tossing around the idea of us taking a day together and taking the kids to Fun City, which is only an hour and a half away. They have an outside waterpark, indoor water fun, plus a building full of arcade games, laser tag, go karts, etc. Then we decided to add the husbands and some more friends. Everyone brought something along for us to do an easy lunch out at the vehicles to save money. We got there at about 10 am, and our family didn't leave until 9:30 pm. We had such an awesome time!!! Outside, there were 6 waterslides, a lazy river, a pool, and a water playground. Inside, there was another water playground, 2 waterslides, a small pool, and a hot tub. Our family stayed out on the water stuff until about 6:30 that night. Then we dried off and changed into clothes so we could head inside. We ordered a pizza for supper, then the whole family did laser tag and go karts before heading out. Such an awesome day! Everyone had such a great time!

Well, here we are almost halfway through 2011. I haven't posted in so long, and I'm not sure I could ever get caught up. So I think I'm just going to start with the here and now.

Life has been keeping me busy. Keith has been working 2nd shift since early last fall, and it has affected a lot in our family life. We are all still trying to adjust to it really. But the hardest adjustment of all, as most of you know, is losing my Daddy in April. He was just diagnosed with the Pulmonary Fibrosis in February, and everything progressed so much faster than we ever expected. Saying this has been difficult doesn't even begin to cover it! But our summer life is keeping us busy as usual, so that does help. All three kids are playing traveling ball this summer, each playing two nights a week. Our typical week consists of Ali's softball game Sunday night, Dustin's t-ball game Monday night, Cody's baseball game Tuesday night, Dustin's t-ball game Wednesday night, Cody's baseball game Thursday night, and Ali's softball game Friday night. Yep, that would be six nights a week at the ball diamond. :) For the most part, everyone has their own nights, but due to our rainy season, we've had a lot of games rescheduled on nights we already have games. Mom has been a big help to me getting everyone where they need to be and making sure one of us is always watching them play their game. We have gotten Mom's belongings moved to the house on the Quick farm, so she will be right next door. The kids are already enjoying being able to walk over and visit when she goes over to work in the house.

That pretty much catches us up I guess. So until I get some new posts and pics up, here are some of my favorites of my Daddy. :)
